Authorship & Contributorship
Authorship Criteria
Authorship is limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the research. To be listed as an author, an individual must have participated substantially in the following areas:
-
Conception and Design: Contributing to the idea of the research and its experimental design.
-
Execution and Analysis: Participating in the implementation of the research, data analysis, or interpretation of results.
-
Drafting and Revision: Writing the manuscript or critically reviewing it for intellectual content.
All listed authors must review and approve the final version of the manuscript before submission.
Responsibilities of the Corresponding Author
One author must be appointed as the coordinator (Corresponding Author) to communicate with the journal. The Corresponding Author is responsible for:
-
Ensuring all co-authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.
-
Signing the Author Declaration Form to certify originality and compliance with journal policies.
-
Providing their email and phone number on the Title Page for contact purposes.
-
Responding to editorial emails and requirements immediately; failure to respond within two weeks may result in the withdrawal or rejection of the manuscript.
CRediT Taxonomy and Contributorship
To ensure transparency, the journal requires authors to define the specific role of each author using the CRediT taxonomy. This information must be detailed in the Title Page file submitted with the manuscript.
Authorship Abuse
The journal strictly prohibits authorship misconduct, including:
-
Guest or Honorary Authorship: Listing individuals who made no significant contribution to the work.
-
Ghost Authorship: Omitting individuals who contributed substantially to the research.
AI and Authorship
Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools (e.g., ChatGPT, LLMs) cannot be listed as authors or co-authors under any circumstances.
-
Authors accept full responsibility for all content in the manuscript.
-
If AI is used for text generation, code, or data analysis, it must be explicitly disclosed in the methodology or acknowledgments section.
- AI Usage Policy Page for more information.
