Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

NTU-JET follows a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality of published articles. The journal uses Turnitin software to check for plagiarism before sending submissions to reviewers. The corresponding author will be notified about the reviewers' decisions within 1-2 months.

The review process involves the following steps:

  1. The corresponding author submits the manuscript through the journal's online submission system.
  2. The Editorial Manager checks the manuscript structure to ensure adherence to the journal's guidelines.
  3. The Editor-in-Chief assesses whether the topic aligns with the journal's scope. If not, the manuscript will be rejected.
  4. Turnitin is used to detect plagiarism. If the similarity index is below 20% and the AI-generated content is less than 25%, the manuscript will be sent to section editors. Otherwise, it will be rejected.
  5. Section editors invite reviewers with relevant expertise to review the manuscript. Invited reviewers consider their ability to review the manuscript and accept or decline the invitation.
  6. Reviewers thoroughly read the manuscript and provide a detailed, point-by-point review, recommending acceptance, rejection, or revision.
  7. The Section Editor considers all reviews and makes a decision, potentially inviting an additional reviewer if the reviews differ significantly.
  8. The Section Editor communicates the decision, including reviewer comments, to the author. Reviewer names are kept anonymous.
  9. If revisions are required, the author makes the requested changes and highlights them in the revised manuscript.
  10. If the manuscript is accepted, the author pays the publication fee, and the article is sent to the Layout Editor for final publication.
