Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism is defined as the copying of ideas, text, data, or other creative work (including tables, figures, and graphs) and presenting it as original research without proper citation. It is considered a serious academic violation.

  • Definition of Plagiarism:
A manuscript is deemed plagiarized if it reproduces another work with at least 20% similarity and lacks proper citation.
  • Initial Screening:
All submitted manuscripts will be checked using the Turnitin program, which is available at Northern Technical University.

  • Consequences of Plagiarism:
  • If evidence of plagiarism is found before acceptance, after acceptance, or after publication, the author will be given an opportunity to defend their paper.
  • If the defense is unsatisfactory, the manuscript will be retracted, and the authors found guilty of plagiarism will no longer have papers accepted for publication by the journal.
  • Severe Cases (Similarity Above 40%):
  • Manuscripts with similarity above 40% will be considered as stolen work.
  • In such cases, the author(s) may be placed on a blacklist and barred from future submissions.
  • An Investigative Committee will be formed to review the case, ensuring fairness and transparency in the decision-making process.
